Powerful, layered filtering — from individual components to the entire dashboard
- Global dashboard filters — Set a filter once and it applies across the dashboard — even to elements built on different but related datasets. Choose which elements it drives and give it a default value.
- Contextual filters — Filters are aware of each other. When you select a value in one filter, all related filters automatically narrow down to show only relevant options — eliminating irrelevant choices and preventing impossible filter combinations.

Built for speed — dashboards that load fast and stay fast at any scale
- SQL at the core, not Odoo ORM — Most Odoo reporting tools go through the ORM — which adds overhead, applies security rules on every field, and is not designed for analytical queries. OdooDashboards queries the database directly using SQL, making data retrieval significantly faster — especially on large datasets.
- Elements load independently — Each chart, tile, and table loads on its own with a placeholder and can be refreshed individually — nothing waits for the whole dashboard.
- Data caching with scheduled updates — Not every dataset needs to be live. For analysis that doesn't require real-time data — like last month's performance or year-to-date trends — the data can be saved in a separate optimized table and refreshed automatically by a scheduled job at whatever interval makes sense.
