Odoo Dashboards has no global shortcuts of its own. Keys work inside the control that has the focus.

The boxes for fields, such as a column’s Field, Dimension, Measure, Group By and Order By:

Key What it does
Typing Narrows the list to matching fields
↓ / ↑ Moves the highlight through the list
Enter Picks the highlighted field. With nothing highlighted, it uses what you typed, so you can enter an expression such as SUM(quantity)
Esc Closes the list without changing the field
Clicking away Keeps what you typed

In Group By and Order By, Enter adds what you typed as another field.

Key What it does
↓ Opens the list of values
↓ / ↑ Moves the highlight
Enter Picks the highlighted value, or adds what you typed when nothing is highlighted
Esc Closes the list
Window Keys
Create Custom Field / Edit Custom Field Esc closes it, asking first if you changed something. Enter in Numeric Value adds the number to the expression.
Column Settings Esc closes it without applying.
Build joined data source Enter in a column’s new name finishes renaming it.
Create New Dashboard, Dashboard Settings, Global Filters Configuration No keys: close them with × or Cancel.

In Design it with AI, the AI visualization’s chat, Refine with AI and the Analyst:

Key What it does
Enter Sends the message
Shift+Enter Starts a new line

Sending never changes a widget by itself. See AI overview.

The note editor in the builder, and the note on the dashboard, take your browser’s usual text shortcuts: Ctrl+B for bold and Ctrl+I for italic (Cmd on a Mac). On the dashboard, the note saves when you click outside it.

Key What it does
Esc Closes the open filter popover, the All filters window, or the value list on top of it (the topmost first)
Typing in a number filter Applies the number shortly after you stop typing

Esc Leaves the slideshow

The keys don’t act while the Autoplay interval list has the focus, so you can change it with the arrow keys. See Layout and presenting.
